From the Desk of Vermilion Local School District Athletic Director Andy Stillman.
Senior – Claire Bartlome. Claire is a perfect representation of a senior that leads by example. She leads with her play and holds her teammates to a high standard to achieve success. This week she had 17 kills, 22 digs and 1 ace in a high intensity 5 set match against Bellevue. To end the week Claire had 8 kills, 7 digs and 1 ace against Margaretta.
Senior Codey Schwarck got a late start to the season, but has been a leader on and off the course for the Sailors. His performance at Plumbrook Country Club helped lead his team to the Erie County Championship.
