
The Erie County Republican Party’s 2025 Lincoln Day Dinner was held on April 2nd at the Kalahari Convention Center in Sandusky, drawing over 500 attendees, making it the largest Lincoln Day Dinner in the county’s history. Erie County Treasurer and Erie County GOP Caleb Steidham was the host for the event.
The event’s keynote speaker, Vivek Ramaswamy, spoke for approximately 45 minutes, addressing a crowd that included numerous local and state Republican politicians. Following his speech, Ohio State Representatives DJ Swearingen (89th District) and Josh Williams (44th District) delivered brief remarks.

Outside the venue, a small group of protesters gathered along the roadside, demonstrating peacefully. There were no incidents.
