Victory Park and the Harbourtown Fine Arts Center yard were hopping with excitement on Saturday, April 12, as Harbourtown Community Church hosted its FREE Community Easter Egg Hunt for children from walkers through 5th grade.
The event began at 10 a.m. and drew an estimated 75 to 100 children, divided into two age groups. Younger children (kindergarten and under) took part in their egg hunt near the Harbourtown Fine Arts Center, while older kids raced through Victory Park, scooping up colorful eggs in a joyful frenzy.
The atmosphere was cheerful, with smiling faces, full baskets, and happy parents throughout the area. The church encouraged families to return the plastic eggs after the event so they could be reused next year—a thoughtful act of stewardship that helped make the event both fun and sustainable.

From bouncing toddlers to excited fifth graders, the community came together for a morning filled with springtime fun, proving once again that free, local events like these bring lasting memories—and a whole lot of joy—to Vermilion families.
