The Lorain County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a $555,525 contract with Karvo Companies Inc. of Stow, Ohio, for the resurfacing of Baumhart Road. The project, which received seven bids on March 11, was awarded to Karvo as the most responsive and compliant bidder.
The work will include resurfacing Baumhart Road from Whittlesey Road to the southern corporation line of the City of Lorain. A Notice to Proceed will be issued upon full execution of the contract, with work set to begin once authorized by the Lorain County Engineer’s Office. The project is expected to be completed by August 30, 2025, with funding provided by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC).
