The Ritter Public Library is hosting its 3rd Annual Murder Mystery event, bringing back the interactive program for teen and adult participants.

The in-person event places attendees inside a fictional storyline set at the “Crimson Asylum,” where a character described as a famous actor, Nicholas Harrison, has been found dead. Participants are tasked with examining evidence, questioning characters, and working through clues to determine what happened. The scenario also involves a security guard who has been wrongfully accused, according to the event description.

The program will be held inside Meeting Room A and Meeting Room B at the library and will be offered in two separate sessions. One session is scheduled for Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, and a second session is scheduled for Friday, February 13, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The event is categorized under Games & Play, Other, and Skills, and is designated as an in-person program. It is open to both teens and adults. No additional details were provided regarding age minimums, group size limits beyond registration capacity, or whether prior experience is required.

Registration is required to attend. Event listings indicate that one session had reached capacity with a waiting list available, while another session still showed open seats at the time the listings were viewed. Registration is handled through the library’s online event system.

No additional information was provided regarding costs, materials, or whether additional sessions will be added beyond the two scheduled showings.

Readers interested in attending are encouraged to consult the Ritter Public Library’s official event calendar for the most up-to-date registration availability and session details.
