Oct 5 – Vermilion Rotary Oktoberfest
Kick off the month with the Vermilion Rotary’s Oktoberfest at German’s Villa from 5 to 10 p.m. Celebrate the Bavarian spirit with authentic German music, Bavarian dancers, and a lavish buffet. Enjoy free beer, exciting auction and raffle prizes, and a fun night in support of library outreach programs.

Oct 6 – Fall Festival at Vermilion Valley Vineyards
The Fall Festival at Vermilion Valley Vineyards promises an afternoon of family fun from 2 to 6 p.m. Stroll the vineyards while enjoying live music, seasonal activities, local vendors, and delicious food and wine. This festival celebrates the beauty of autumn in Ohio wine country.

Oct 7 – Vermilion Fire Department Open House

4pm – 7pm, Douglas Street Fire Station, Free hotdogs and snacks, Interactive displays, Station tours, First (25) families receive a free fire blanket.

Oct 7 – Vermilion City Council Meeting
Join the Vermilion City Council on October 7 at 6 p.m. to stay informed on local government decisions. This meeting is open to the public, offering a chance to learn about the latest projects and developments shaping the city.

Oct 11 – Vermilion Sailors Varsity Football vs. Huron
The Vermilion Sailors take on the Huron Tigers, at 7 p.m. at Sailor Field. Be part of the electric atmosphere and support your local team under the Friday night lights.

Oct 14 – Vermilion Local School District Board of Education Meeting
On October 14, the Vermilion Local School District will hold its monthly Board of Education meeting at 6 p.m. Topics concerning school policy, education initiatives, and budget allocations will be discussed.

Oct 17 – Community Prayer Breakfast

Oct 18 – Firelands Falcons Varsity Football vs. Oberlin

Looking for a family-friendly Halloween activity? The Vermilion River Reservation will host its annual Pirate Treasure Hunt from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Kids and adults alike can enjoy a day of costumes, adventure, and spooky fun along the trails.

Oct 25 – Varsity Football Doubleheader
It’s an action-packed Friday with two big games! The Vermilion Sailors take on Bellevue at Sailor Field, while the Firelands Falcons face Wellington at Firelands Field. Both games start at 7 p.m., so pick your team and get ready for an exciting night of football.

Oct 31 – Vermilion Trick-or-Treat
