This week, we recognize two outstanding Vermilion Sailors athletes for their incredible performances. From the desk of Vermilion Sailors Athletic Director Andy Stillman.
Sophomore – Sophie Habermehl
Sophie had an exceptional week in our 3 matches against Clyde, Willard, and Bowsher. Throughout the week, Habermehl tallied 31 kills, 40 digs and 11 aces just within 3 matches. Her consistency across the front and back row is a key contributor to our team’s success!
Senior and Captain Isabella Phillips
Isabella continues to prove to be the Vermilion Lady Sailors backbone on and off the field. As the team’s solid center back, Bella helps give every person on the team confidence, reminds each person their importance, and strengthens the team day in and day out.
Bella works hard in all that she does whether it is soccer, majorette, school work, or working on the weekend. She is determined, along with her teammates, to continue to grow throughout the season and give her best effort.
Bella is going to do great things beyond this season and we are so lucky to have her as a senior captain guiding this 2025 Lady Sailors soccer team!
