At the recent Vermilion Local School District Board of Education meeting, the Vermilion High School FFA chapter provided an update on its progress, goals, and continued growth. Chapter officers Owen Stiner (President) and Jaclyn Scarvelli (Vice President) spoke about their recent achievements, upcoming projects, and the importance of student involvement in the organization.

Scarvelli emphasized that members are the lifeblood of FFA, playing a crucial role in the program’s success. The chapter is actively seeking new students to join and participate in the many opportunities FFA provides.

FFA, or Future Farmers of America, is a nationally recognized organization that helps students develop skills in agriculture, leadership, and career development. Through hands-on learning experiences, competitions, community service projects, and leadership training, students gain valuable knowledge that prepares them for future careers and personal growth.

For parents who may be interested in enrolling their child in FFA, the program is open to Vermilion Local School District students looking to expand their skills and become part of a dynamic, educational organization. Parents and students can reach out to FFA Advisor Claire Vilagi at Vermilion High School to learn more. The school’s main office can be contacted at 440-204-1701 for further details. Additionally, an overview of the National FFA Organization can be found at ffa.org.

The Vermilion FFA chapter continues to grow, thanks to the dedication of its student leaders and community support. With more students involved, the program can expand its impact and provide even greater opportunities for young learners.
