March 20, 2025

  • 09:48 AM – Extra Patrol – Officers patrolled Berkley Rd/Overlook Rd.
  • 09:55 AM – Special Detail – Officers assigned to Vermilion Fire Station.
  • 11:10 AM – Open Building – A caller reported an open window at a vacant house on Arlington Dr. Officers determined the wind had blown it open.
  • 11:57 AM – Welfare Check – Officers checked on a resident on Harbor Ct. who had not picked up mail for two weeks. No contact was made.
  • 12:48 PM – Transport Prisoner – Prisoner transported to Lorain County Jail.
  • 03:07 PM – Transport Prisoner – Prisoner taken from court back to Lorain County Jail.

March 21, 2025

  • 01:36 AM – Citizen Assist – Officers assisted an elderly, confused female walking on Adams St. until family arrived.
  • 08:25 AM – Suspicious Activity – A report of a suspicious person near Edgewater Blvd was investigated; no criminal activity found.
  • 01:12 PM – Fire Call – Officers assisted firefighters with a structure fire on Grand St. No injuries reported.
  • 02:14 PM – Assault – A reported physical altercation occurred at the Lucy Idol Center. Officers gathered information for a report.
  • 06:45 PM – Disturbance – Officers responded to Parkland Blvd. for a domestic disturbance between a parent and a juvenile. Both were advised to separate for the night.
  • 08:37 PM – Suspicious Vehicle – A caller reported a vehicle parked at the end of their driveway. The vehicle left before officers arrived; the area was checked.

March 22, 2025

  • 02:25 AM – Traffic Stop – A driver was taken into custody following a stop at Liberty Ave/Morton Rd.
  • 11:22 AM – Lockout – Officers assisted in unlocking a vehicle at The Nest Restaurant.
  • 11:44 AM – Assist Other Agency – Officers assisted Children’s Services with a standby at a home on State St. related to a possible intoxicated driver.
  • 02:25 PM – Welfare Check – A young man was reported as dozing off in his vehicle outside Hometown Bakery. He was found reading a book.
  • 08:34 PM – Citizen Assist – Officers helped an elderly resident retrieve a package from their porch on Exchange St.

March 23, 2025

  • 09:10 AM – Foot Patrol – Officers checked the Indian Ridge Clubhouse; no issues reported.
  • 11:27 AM – Squad Run – LifeCare assisted a resident on Edgewater Dr. with a lift assist.
  • 11:30 AM – Suspicious Vehicle – A red Tesla was reported pulling into and backing out of multiple driveways on Cooper Foster Park Rd. Officers checked the area but could not locate the vehicle.
  • 12:08 PM – Juvenile Complaint – A mother on Parkland Blvd. requested assistance with her 12-year-old daughter refusing to listen. Officers transported the juvenile to Turning Point.
  • 08:44 PM – Traffic Stop – Officers issued a verbal warning for expired plates at Sunnyside Rd/Roanoke Dr.

March 24, 2025

  • 12:23 AM – Squad Run – Lift assist conducted for a resident on Hollyview Dr.
  • 02:48 AM – Traffic Stop – K-9 sniff conducted at Overlook Rd/Berkley Rd. The driver received a citation for driving under suspension.
  • 08:19 AM – Squad Run – Officers responded to a fall involving a 79-year-old male on Edson St.
  • 10:39 AM – Business Check – Motel Plaza and other businesses on Liberty Ave were checked; no issues reported.
