Vermilion Police Blotter: November 24 to November 30, 2025

This report comes from the Vermilion Police Department and covers calls for service and notable incidents handled throughout the week of November 24 through November 30, 2025.

November 24
• 8:50 a.m. – Liberty Ave.: Traffic stop resulting in an OVI arrest.
• 10:52 a.m. – 5300 block of South Street: Deceased subject; determined to be natural causes.
• 6:41 p.m. – 200 block of Kensington: Possible protection order violation; no arrests made.
• 11:37 p.m. – 900 block of Douglas: Assault complaint leading to four arrests. Three individuals were charged with Menacing, and one was charged with Menacing, Assault, and Unlawful Restraint.

November 25
• 2:44 p.m. – 4700 block of Liberty Ave.: Juvenile complaint involving threats between two juveniles; no arrests.

November 26
• Nothing to report.

November 27
• Nothing to report.

November 28
• 1:57 p.m. – Liberty Ave.: Traffic stop leading to an arrest for Driving Under Suspension (DUS).

November 29
• 11:32 a.m. – 4800 block of Hollyview: Deceased subject; determined to be natural causes.
• 6:05 p.m. – 3400 block of Edgewater: Officers assisted with a civil matter.
• 6:13 p.m. – 200 block of Kensington: Officers assisted with a civil matter.
• 8:17 p.m. – Liberty Ave.: Minor one-vehicle crash.

November 30
• 3:24 a.m. – 5700 block of Liberty Ave.: Report of a possible missing person; subject located safely.
• 4:33 a.m. – Vermilion: Report of a suicidal subject; individual was not in Vermilion and was given options for receiving help.
• 11:32 a.m. – 3100 block of Lorain Ave.: Fraud complaint; no arrests at this time.
