From the desk of Vermilion Police Department Chief Chris Hartung, the following incidents were reported between October 6 and October 13, 2025:

October 6:
1300 – 200 block of Harbor Court: Neighbor dispute.
1336 – Liberty Ave: Motor vehicle accident.
1504 – 900 block of Jefferson Street: Property damage.
1539 – 1100 block of Sanford Street: Assisted EMS with a transport to Mercy for evaluation.

October 7:
0737 – 1200 block of Sanford Street: Unruly juvenile.
1320 – 1300 block of Birchview Drive: Disturbance over a civil property issue.

October 8:
1032 – Liberty Ave: Motor vehicle accident.
1350 – 400 block of Ewa Yea: Menacing complaint.
1356 – 4700 block of Liberty Ave: Dog bite complaint.

October 9:
0631 – 600 block of South Shore Court: Disturbance.
0658 – Liberty Ave: Motor vehicle accident.
1041 – 1700 block of Claus Road: Fraud complaint.
1548 – 1200 block of Douglas Street: CPO violation.
1706 – 5000 block of Liberty Ave: Unruly juvenile.

October 10:
0030 – South Shore Court: Parking violation.
1220 – Liberty Ave: Unruly juvenile.
2007 – 4900 block of Mapleview Drive: Report of several subjects fighting in the street; three juveniles and one adult were cited for disorderly conduct.
2048 – 1200 block of State Street: Assisted EMS with a transport to Mercy for evaluation.

October 11:
0444 – Liberty Ave: Driver stopped for a moving violation found under the influence and arrested for OVI.
1228 – 1200 block of Hollyview Drive: Domestic violence complaint; one juvenile arrested and transported to the Erie County Detention Home.
1957 – Berkley Drive: Road rage incident; one male cited for menacing and driving under suspension.

October 12:
1051 – 1500 block of Forestview Drive: Transport to Mercy for evaluation.
1438 – Main Street Beach: Report of a sailboat aground; Fire and ODNR assisted.
1500 – 380 block of Salem Drive: Criminal damaging complaint over a broken iPad; both parties agreed to resolve the issue.
1529 – 5000 block of Oakview Drive: Dog at large complaint.

October 13:
0316 – Main Street Beach: Set of AirPods turned in after being left in the park.
1033 – Liberty Ave: Report of a sick raccoon.
1719 – 600 block of Vermilion Road: Theft of a license plate from a boat trailer.
1959 – Liberty Ave: Motor vehicle accident.
