
This week, we recognize two outstanding Vermilion Sailors athletes for their incredible performances. From the desk of Vermilion Sailors Athletic Director Andy Stillman.

Mason Cooper (Sophomore)
In a thrilling 50-45 victory over Oak Harbor, Mason led the Sailors with an impressive 18 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. His strong all-around game helped propel the team to another exciting win!

Cole Rini (Junior)
Cole, a 3-year swimmer for the Vermilion High School team and team captain, made waves at the Northwest District D2 Swim Meet at Bowling Green State University on February 14th.
- In the Medley Relay, Cole swam the breaststroke leg, helping his team finish 11th overall and setting a new VHS record with a time of 1:45.55.
- He also swam the leadoff leg of the 200 Freestyle Relay, finishing 14th overall with a personal-best time of 1:35.52.
- Individually, Cole competed in two events:
- The 200 Individual Medley, where he placed 12th with a personal-record and school-record time of 2:04.79.
- The 100 Breaststroke, where he placed 2nd with a time of 59.71, qualifying him for the State Swim Meet at Canton McKinley High School on February 20th.
