Vermilion Parks Operations Supervisor Marc Weisenberger reports department is looking into a ODNR NatureWorks grant application, potentially near $70,000 to help towards the costs of replacing playground equipment.
It looks like the equipment is seriously looking at being replaced in 2025 by the Parks & Recreation Board. The equipment is 30 years old and in dire need of replacement. Open metal rusted edges, along with other wear and tear has made the equipment replacement a priority. We applaud the Parks and Recreation Board for taking the steps to rectify the issue.
