Agriculture and Livestock

Agricultural displays and livestock competitions are central to the Lorain County Fair, reflecting the region’s strong farming heritage. Throughout the week, visitors can explore the barns where 4-H and FFA members showcase their prized animals, including dairy cattle, poultry, and swine. The Junior Fair Auction on Thursday is a key event where community members can support these young farmers by purchasing their livestock.

From classic Ferris wheels and merry-go-rounds to more adventurous roller coasters, there’s something for everyone. Tuesday’s Kids’ Day will feature special discounts and activities, including magic shows and puppet performances tailored for younger visitors.

Families can also enjoy the petting zoo, where children can interact with friendly farm animals. In addition, a variety of contests, such as the Kiddie Pedal Pull and Cornhole Tournament, will take place throughout the week, adding to the fun and competitive spirit of the fair.
