Young ambassadors named for year ahead
VERMILION — The Vermilion Chamber of Commerce has announced the 2026/2027 Festival of the Fish Royalty Court.
The newly crowned ambassadors will represent the 60th Annual Festival of the Fish and the Vermilion community throughout the coming year. The royalty court continues a long-standing festival tradition that has been part of the community for generations.
This year’s court includes:
Mini Miss Guppy – Madison Abrahamowicz
Mini Mister Guppy – Cameron Stafford
Little Miss Guppy – Mera Rice
Little Mister Guppy – Colson Stafford
Junior Miss – Paislyn Brown
Junior Mister – Caiden Stafford
Princess – Sabrina Dvorscak
Prince – Owen Kruse
2026/2027 Festival of the Fish Queen – Summer Ellis
The royalty court was recognized during the Fish Festival Queens Breakfast on Sunday, June 21, at German’s Villa. Organizers said it was the largest group the breakfast has ever hosted and praised the young participants for their courtesy, manners and enthusiasm. They also thanked Carolyn Blackmon and her crew for their work in helping make the experience possible for the contestants and families.
The chamber congratulated all of the royalty winners and thanked the contestants and families who participated.
The court will help represent Vermilion with pride, enthusiasm and community spirit throughout the year.
