VERMILION — The following incidents were reported to the Vermilion Police Department between March 30 and April 5, 2026.
March 30, 2026
Officers responded to a harassment complaint in the 800 block of Douglas Street.
March 31, 2026
Police conducted a welfare check in the 4700 block of Hollyview after a report of a resident who had fallen and could not get up. The individual was transported to the hospital for treatment.
April 1, 2026
Officers responded to a report of a person in mental distress in the 300 block of Parkland. The individual was transported to the hospital for treatment.
April 2, 2026
Two warrant arrests were made in the 600 block of Decatur Street.
Police also assisted with a civil matter involving a custody exchange in the 600 block of Ferndale Avenue.
April 3, 2026
A traffic stop on Liberty Avenue resulted in an arrest for driving under suspension.
Officers responded to a possible protection order violation in the 500 block of South Shore Court.
A second traffic stop in the 4700 block of Liberty Avenue also resulted in an arrest for driving under suspension.
