VERMILION — The following incidents were reported by the Vermilion Police Department during the week of May 11 through May 17, 2026.

May 11, 2026
- Officers responded to the 3600 block of Elizabeth for a telecommunications harassment complaint.
- Police handled a juvenile complaint involving an unruly juvenile in the 900 block of Howard.
- Officers investigated a trespassing complaint in the 200 block of Woodside. No arrests were made.
- Police responded to a minor vehicle versus deer accident on Liberty Avenue.
May 12, 2026
- Officers responded to a minor two-vehicle crash in the 3200 block of Lorain Drive.
- Police investigated a juvenile complaint in the 5300 block of Sailorway involving a social media account that may have been hacked.
- Officers handled a disturbance complaint in the 800 block of Vermilion Road. No arrests were made.
May 13, 2026
- Police responded to the 200 block of Woodside for a deceased individual who was determined to have died from natural causes.
- Officers investigated a theft complaint in the 600 block of Ferndale involving a wheelbarrow and storage racks reportedly taken from a residence.
May 14, 2026
- Officers and emergency crews responded to the 700 block of Riverside for a watercraft fire involving an unoccupied docked boat.
- Police handled a neighbor dispute in the 5500 block of South Street.
May 15, 2026
- Officers responded to a juvenile complaint in the 1200 block of Sanford that resulted in an arrest for possession of drugs/marijuana.
- Police assisted EMS in the 4700 block of Hollyview.
May 16, 2026
- Officers handled a domestic dispute in the 1300 block of Sanford. No arrests were made.
- Police assisted EMS in the 6000 block of Conneaut Light.
- Officers responded to the 3300 block of Cooper Foster for an assault complaint that resulted in an arrest.
- Police investigated a telecommunications harassment complaint in the 4700 block of Pin Oak.
- Officers made a warrant arrest in the 5100 block of Liberty Avenue.
May 17, 2026
- Police responded to SR 2 for a property damage complaint involving a vehicle windshield that was reportedly damaged.
