Showse Park Getting a Fitness Trail.
A new fitness trail is coming soon to Showse Park! Thanks to Jeff Lucas and the Showse Revitalization Project, funding and resources have been secured to make this community addition a reality.
At the October 15th meeting, the Parks Department voted 5-1 in favor of approving $10,000 for the project. Additionally, the City Service Director secured an estimated $15,000 in street milling as a generous gift to support the trail. Local contractor ADT also contributed substantially, reducing their bid to half of the second-highest and donating resources to help bring this project to life.
Construction is expected to begin in 4 to 6 weeks once the equipment arrives, with an additional one to two weeks for installation, weather permitting. The Showse Park Revitalization clock has officially started—get ready for a new way to stay active in our community!
