This week, two standout performances from Vermilion High School athletes caught the attention of fans and coaches alike. Freshman Morgan Frenk and sophomore Mason Cooper delivered exceptional efforts that helped lead their respective teams to success.

Morgan Frenk – Freshman Sensation

In a hard-fought game against Edison, Morgan Frenk showcased her all-around talent, making an impact on both ends of the court. Frenk put up an impressive stat line with 9 points, 9 rebounds, 11 deflections, and 5 steals. Her defensive hustle and ability to disrupt the opponent’s offense were instrumental in keeping her team competitive. As a freshman, Frenk’s poise and tenacity are setting a strong foundation for a promising high school basketball career.

Mason Cooper – Sophomore Scorer

Sophomore Mason Cooper led the charge in a thrilling 42-37 victory over Willard. Cooper’s scoring prowess was on full display as he poured in 19 points to secure the win for the Sailors. His ability to step up in critical moments and guide his team to victory demonstrates his growing leadership on the court. With performances like this, Cooper is solidifying his role as a key player for Vermilion.

Both Frenk and Cooper exemplify the determination and skill that make Vermilion athletics so special. Their contributions this week are a testament to their hard work and dedication to the game. Congratulations to Morgan Frenk and Mason Cooper, our Sailors Players of the Week!
