From the desk of Vermilion Sailors Athletic Director Andrew Stillman comes this week’s recognition of two outstanding athletes who exemplify talent, dedication, and teamwork both on and off the lanes.
Zane Lassen
Zane Lassen played a crucial role in leading the Sailors to victory against Norwalk with exceptional bowling performances. He posted games of 157 and 220, earning a team-high series of 377 and an impressive 188 average—20 pins above his usual game average. Zane is a senior whose commitment extends far beyond bowling. He is also an accomplished cross-country runner and a dedicated member of the band. Zane is the son of Chris and Tara Lassen.
Allison Traut
Allison Traut proved to be an integral force for the Lady Sailors, delivering standout scores of 181 and 214 for a team-leading series of 395—65 pins over her average of 165. In addition to her athletic prowess, Allison is deeply involved in her school community, participating in concert band, marching band, and the National Honor Society. Allison is the daughter of Terry and Courtney Traut.
Both Zane and Allison embody the spirit of Vermilion Sailors Athletics, balancing their love for sports with an impressive array of extracurricular activities. Their hard work and determination continue to inspire their teammates and community.
