PRESS RELEASE

Lorain County 4-H Endowment Board Dinner and Auction

The Lorain County 4-H Endowment Board members were excited to learn that we had a RECORD-BREAKING event!

“The support from our community and attendees was impressive and humbling. It was a

very successful evening for Lorain County 4-H youth” said Beth Clegg, Board President. “So far we have exceeded $33,000 net a record breaker from previous years” said Board Treasurer, Renee Tollett.

Donations from businesses and individuals throughout the region provided approximately 150 baskets that surrounded Germans Villa. The live auction included a Hot Air Balloon Ride, Helicopter Ride, a weekend cottage getaway, a Pheasant Hunt and many more great items.

With the generosity of those donating, bidding and buying, the funds collected from the dinner and auction will provide funding for Lorain County 4-H youth including: college scholarships, grants for local 4-H programs and scholarships for 4-H camps.

We would also like to say ‘thank you’ to Cliff German and the staff of German’s Villa for their hospitality.

The Lorain County 4-H Endowment Board is a fifteen-member board with a mission to manage funds that support 4-H education within Lorain County. Events like our annual dinner and auction make that support sustainable for years to come.
