This week, we recognize two outstanding Vermilion Sailors athletes for their incredible performances. From the desk of Vermilion Sailors Athletic Director Andy Stillman.
Senior – Daniel Grisel

Daniel had an outstanding meet both in the open events as well as teaming up with his teammates for 2 first place relay teams to help lead the Boys Track team to a 1st Place Finish at the Edison Invitational this weekend. Daniel led off the day by leading off the 4 x 800 relay team with a leg of 2:03. Next up he ran the 1600m and finished 4th with a time of 4:43.8. His next race on the track was the 800m run and he finished in 1st Place with a new PR of 2:02.9. After a 4 x 400 team member went down with an injury, Daniel was the ultimate teammate and stepped in to help the relay team take a 1st place finish to cement the 1st Place Team finish for the overall team. Congratulations to Daniel with his three 1st place finishes on the day!!
