Main Street Vermilion has released its 2024 Annual Report, highlighting a landmark year of growth, creativity, and community impact under the banner “Main Streets are for Everyone.”
In 2024, the nonprofit organization officially purchased its longtime home at 685 Main Street, reinforcing its commitment to downtown revitalization. With over 7,200 volunteer hours valued at nearly $230,000, community support remained the backbone of Main Street’s success.

Key initiatives included the vibrant Vermilion in Bloom program, public art installations like the award-winning Buoy Tree and the new “Aboard” sculpture, and six seasonal art shows hosted by the Arts Guild of Vermilion. These efforts attracted over 262,000 visitors to the Main Street district—a 5% increase from 2023—and supported more than 130 local business partners.
In total, more than $400,000 in direct support was invested back into the community through grants, sponsorships, events, and beautification projects.
