This week, we recognize two outstanding Vermilion Sailors athletes for their incredible performances. From the desk of Vermilion Sailors Athletic Director Andy Stillman.
Cole Rini – Senior

Cole competed in two invitational meets during the week of December 22. Margaretta High School hosted the Polar Express Sprint Meet on December 23, where Cole won all four of his events and was named the meet’s MVP. The Sailors boys team also placed first overall.
The Sailors were back in the pool on December 27 for Tiffin Columbian’s LoanDepot Holiday Pentathlon. Cole recorded top-ten finishes in all of his preliminary events, qualifying him for the finals.
The top 12 finishers advanced to the finals, where they competed in the 200-yard IM. Cole finished first with a time of 2:10.37, earning the title of 2025 LoanDepot Boys Pentathlon Champion.
Emily Stiner – Senior

Went 5-1 in her respective weight class this weekend, placing third. Emily is one win away from her 100th of her career. She is steadily improving and is an absolute workhorse in the weight room.
Congratulations to Cole and Emily for their impressive performances and contributions to the Sailors’ success!
