This week, we recognize two outstanding Vermilion Sailors athletes for their incredible performances. From the desk of Vermilion Sailors Athletic Director Andy Stillman.
Wesley Mayer – Sophomore
Wesley started the week by bowling his personal high game of 193 then the very next match he improved it by bowling a 196 game.Wesley is a sophomore and in his first year bowling.
Abby Gawry – Senior
Against conference powerhouse Margaretta, Abby led the way with 11 points, while also contributing 4 rebounds and 2 steals, showing her ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor. She followed that performance with another solid outing versus Clearview, finishing with 9 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals in just about three quarters of action during the Sailors’ 52–12 victory. Abby’s consistency, hustle, and all-around play were key to a successful week for the team.
